What I do when I am not framing…Learning the cello; taking up fire dancing with poi, staff, palm torches (and fire eating); learning French, making clothes; creating steam punk jewelry and belts; and rebinding sketch book/journals with antique hardware and vintage fabric.

The coolest thing I ever framed was…a print signed by Salvador Dali himself. No matter how surreal it was to see his signature in person, I find beauty in any piece of art I frame.

My inspiration comes from…what I choose to fill my time with. The poetry I may be reading can spark a philosophical thought or way of thinking which becomes a part of who I am. My art is an extension of who I am which is always changing, and in turn changing my perspective to see things differently.

My favorite art movements are…Art Nouveau and the Pre-Raphaelite.

My favorite artists are…Alphonse Mucha, John William Waterhouse, Dante Gabriel Rosetti, Maxfield Parrish, Edward Burne Jones, William Morris and Edward Hughs.

In high school I was voted…Most Creative out of the graduating senior class of 405 people.

I love my job because…I work with amazing people that are just as excited about art in their lives and in their homes as I am and have a passion for. I love the challenge that framing art and 3 dimensional objects bring and how it constantly pushes my creativity to new levels.

If I were a piece of art, I would be…The Soul and the Rose by William Waterhouse, 1908 (right). I want to get all that I can out of life and not waste any beauty, just as she seems to be doing in the painting.

My favorite indulgence is… a nice vanilla rum pipe tobacco on a summer evening in a hammock, or sometimes a cool beer on a hot day.

My best design advice is…to come in with an open mind about design, creativity, color and layers.

The soundtrack to my life would be…a mixture of The Head and the Heart, Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, Great Northern, Low and Snow Patrol.
