Framing with MQF since 2009

Years in framing industry: 9

What I do when I am not framing…I really enjoy “me” time. Sipping a coffee and watching the sunset over the mountains is my style.

My childhood ambition was…Limitless! Depending on the day (or hour), it could be anything such as: astronaut, pastor, wizard, lawyer, waiter, wanderer, etc, etc.

The coolest thing I ever framed was…I’d have to say a (very realistic) prosthetic corpse’s arm…complete with hairs.

My inspiration comes from…Details in architecture, normally overlooked. Natural, environmental surroundings. Cultures. Human relations.

My favorite artist (or medium) is…I’m a sucker for good quality black and white photography. And I love Marc Chagall!

Why I love my job…See, to me, it’s not a “job.” It’s my lifestyle. It’s never dull, it keeps me motivated and challenged, it’s an ancient art that can be/has been adapted perfectly in our technological world, it allows me to meet the most random/hilarious people (internally and externally), it’s the same career my grandfather enjoyed, and it keeps me laughing every day. Who wouldn’t want that?

If I were a piece of art, I would be…Probably a roadside attraction. In a museum, you wouldn’t give me a second glance. But in the middle of no where, I’m AWESOME!

My favorite indulgence is…Mint milanos and Dr. Pepper

If I were a musical instrument, I would be…Djembe; earthy, laid back or fast paced

My best design advice…Be open-minded and frame for the art.

The art that I make is…Clay sculptures of mythical creatures.
