What I do when I am not framing… I have a 4 year old boy who has a vivid imagination. We are very busy fighting off dragons and dinosaurs dressed like our favorite superhero of the day. My husband and I try squeezing in time for each other. There is always working on the remodeling of our home.
My childhood ambition was… to work for Crayola naming all the color crayons.
The coolest thing I ever framed was… the macaroni necklace my son made for me.
The most famous person I ever framed for was…Astronaut Gene Cernan. David Forhman, a Space Artifact and Appraiser, brought in several personal affects for Commander Cernan from his Apollo missions. Gene Cernan was framing these for his children, grandchildren and friends. It was so exciting to answer the phone and Mr. Cernan was personally thanking me for a job well done.
My inspiration comes from… you, the client. I want to hear your story about what you’re framing. This way I can create a design communicating the same emotional attachment you have to what you’ve brought in.
If I could spend my next vacation in any way I would be… sitting on a beach somewhere amazing with my toes in the sand, a beer in one hand and a paint brush in the other.
Why I love my job... I love art and people. This job allows me to fill my creative desire as an artist and interact with the great people in my community.
My favorite indulgence is…wine, chocolate and pedicures.
My best design advice is… trust what your heart is telling you.
