Our Designers

When I’m not framing you’ll find me… in my Painting studio. I try to produce two shows a year featuring my own work. I tend to have several art projects going at all times. I’ve recently ventured into sculpture and I’m captivated by it all ready. I love to create and inspire others to explore their own creativity as well.

The coolest thing I ever framed was… very personal. My Dad recorded and produced his first record album in the late 60s. His band’s name at the time was the Paper Orphans. While going through old boxes in the basement I found one of his original records. I polished up the vinyl and used a pedestal float to display the record. In the same frame I created multi-openings to showcase some of the band photos and memorabilia. He cried when he opened it. It was awesome!

My inspiration comes from… any thing and everything. This is why my job is so amazing, because each framing job is so unique.

My favorite artists are… Egon Schiele, Francis Bacon, Jenny Seville, and Lucian Freud just to name a few.

If I could spend my next vacation in any way I want, I would… be in some tropical location with my husband. No cell phones, no obligations, just me and him with tons of food and drinks at our disposal. Surrounded by fascinating people, culture and art.

Why I love doing my job at MQF Queen Anne… is because my little shop is nestled in such a wonderful community. I am constantly meeting so many fantastic and inspiring people.  I get to meet someone new everyday and work creatively with that person. It doesn’t get much better than that!
